She's not coaching our team, not sure why that matters. Hell, Vince Dooley's wife is crazy as a shithouse rat and it didn't stop him from having great success at GA.

That being said, I'd probably go Petrino before Gus, but I'd be pretty happy with us choosing Gus, particularly if we kept BVG.

If they hire him I will support the team. I believe that there is about a 3-5% chance of Auburn hiring Petrino. Do not see it happening.
I belive that he is a great coach and could win at Auburn.

If I were ranking offensively minded coaches with their baggage, I would put Petrino above Gus.

You saying Gus has baggage I don't know about there Jonesy? Or that you'd pick Petrino over Gus even with Petrino's baggage?

The baggage I was referencing about Gus was the post made by someone about his wife. It was just a joke

Was just making sure there wasn't something I missed besides Gus's wife's crazy videos online.

Would not surprise me to see Petrino end up out west somewhere like Colorado or Cal if they make coaching changes.

Gotta bad feeling Strong is going to be a bust at a big-time gig for whoever hires him. Not sure why. Just a hunch.

Out of curiosity, why do you think Petrino has had so little success against Bama and LSU? Not even talking about wins and losses, his offense hasn't scored but like 10 against them in the two years, while Malzahn manages to go around them and strike fast and hard.

Don't get me wrong on this, I like Petrino's offense better due to consistency but I was just curious. Do you think it is that he had less offensive talent that just couldn't overcome?

Less talent plus those two defenses were some of the best defenses to take the field. I think the success Petrino could have at Auburn is different than what he did at Arky.
