Serious business, for a moment.

I never heard the details of what exactly happened- but have seen a couple of pics; I never knew that about the kid. What a nightmare for his parents...

It's truly amazing what he's accomplished after something like that happening to him....

I know it involved a jet ski, but I don't remember the details.

He was riding in front of his dad on the jet ski and was holding his hands on top of his dads and when they were approaching the dock his dad let off but aj was holding the gas and they crushed the dock. Ajs face hit first!

No, really man.

It wasn't a pretty sight, seeing a kid go through something like that- even after knowing that everything turned out okay. Part of that boy's face was- literally- crushed.

AJ started school after the surgery and still had the staples in his head. The first couple of days he came home a little upset. Kids called him “railroad track” because of the way the staples looked going up his head.

Kids are messed up, man.

Jet skis are one of the most dangerous recreational vehicles ever made...novices should NOT be allowed to operate them w/o training and certainly NEVER with a young child on board.
Please parents DO NOT purchase these for your kids ! Only well trained adult operators should be allowed to use them !

Yep. My thoughts exactly...Says a lot for the people at USA Hospital, also. What a job they did for that family.

The kid has been through a lot, obviously. Yes- I'll be rooting against him next weekend (as expected- and shouldn't be held totally responsible for what I'll say during the next week )- but it's nice to see a good guy beat the odds, just the same.
