Aggies celebrating it are clueless. He got that number for the same reason he had 3 picks. 56 freaking passes!!!!! in a game they were either ahead or close. That is insane.

For perspective USCe’s QB who had a bad game against LSU had 177 with 2 TDs and 2 picks with 34 passes. At that pace with 56 passes he goes 291 3 TDs 3 Ints. "Better" numbers.

By continuing to throw the ball as if you were behind by 50 allowed LSU to pick the ball and win the game.

Kicking game was not the reason, if every kick is made you still don't win. (LSU missed also)

I like Sumlin, but it is a legitimate question if this philosophy will work. Evidence so far says no.

4.82 yards per attempt....which is not good.

I'm confused here. Is it the 270 yards passing or the number of attempts that caused A&M to lose?

I, and most of my brethren would disagree. We lost because of very inopportune turnovers and shitty kicking. We lost nevertheless. It's over. On to Auburn.

Our Oline is good, that's about it. Hard to say if it will work once other skill position talent catches up via recruiting.

The scheme is good for blowing out bad opponents, keeping up with good ones, and occasionally beating great ones. It's also prone to lose some games that just shouldn't be lost due to the offense having a "bad day".

Sounds like you're scared about the future. I would be too if I were you.

Despite the number of attempts it took to get there, Manziel had more yards of offense than LSU had allowed to anyone all season long. It's a little silly to act like he got dominated. Regardless, at the end of the day, we missed kicked, fumbled the ball, had easy catches for long gains bounce off of our shoulder pads and into the air for an interception, etc. We lost. They won. The redshirt freshmen looked pretty good, but not good enough. LSU won the game. That's the bottom line.

if i threw the ball 600 times i could probably rack up some decent yards too.

I assume Maziel is a type of corn?

LSU won, no one is arguing that. Manziel looked like a freshman and he made some serious mistakes - it happens, but it's tough to walk away from that game and feel like we got destroyed. (Cotton Bowl 2010 for example)

What exactly do you expect us to do here?

I don't get your point. How can somebody get 600 attempts if he is not moving the ball?

Stupid point. It may take more than 6 games in the system but this onffense will figure out how to turn yards into points against good defenses.

They have at time dominated 2 very good defenses. Adjustments were made that slowed them up but that isn't always going to be the case.

THIS!

Geno Smith threw for 460 against LSU last year but had like 70 attempts and still lost 47-21.

A&M will learn that football is a team game.
