The defense is actually improving. I know it's hard to believe.

Hell naw. Even Shula managed to win a SEC game every year.

and this is the correct answer. If a coach goes 0-8 in the SEC, he isn't doing his job.

facing the LSU offense makes defenses look like they are improving.

this might actually be les miles strategy to keep coaches that are worse then him around. He makes them look like they are improving but still finds ways to beat them so they stay and we get a w

I'm not talking about one game. They look better overall. They have kept us in games this year. Our horrible offense is what's kept us from a few more wins.

Auburn fans(or former auburn fans), do y'all really think you can get Jimbo from Florida State? I've seen him mentioned a few times, but I don't see how he'd leave Florida State.

Rumor was started by a Bama fan who claims to have connections to the team. AU fans are just hoping he's right, not claiming it's a viable option. Certainly hope so though. But I don't know why he'd leave FSU.

I have no idea who we'll get. I've heard Petrino and Jimbo mostly. I'm sure our AD will find a way to screw this up.

I mean if we threw enough money at him I'm sure he would come. The biggest thing that we have going against us is Tallahassee has the medical/treatment center for his son.

I don't understand why Jimbo would leave. He's already built FSU back up and it'll be much easier to recruit in Tallahassee than it will be with Saban right down the road.

Agree why would he want to come to the SEC and have to face the guy he learned the most from instead of staying in the ACC?

This could be the deal breaker. I'd love to have Jimbo as our HC next season.

Alabama fans may have picked up on the rumor, but it was first reported by Ron Sanders on Auburn247... Said Jimbo would listen... NO DEAL DONE, but this is NOT a Bama started Rumor.

I sure hope so. He is a fine coach, won a national championship, and I hope they make him AU coach for life.

I don't know why Auburn would fire Chizik in the middle of the season. I'd wait until December when his buyout drops a bit.

I don't think the Auburn defense is very good at all. I've seen every game. Obviously, the best was against LSU, who had a quarterback who looked like he was stoned. If the signal-caller can throw even a little bit, it's lights out. That seems to open the run and pass up and the Tiger D looks like swizz cheese.

And look at how Vandy just marched down the field at the start, middle and end of that game. That's good defense? I didn't see any improvement. You've won one game and that was in OT. And, if Vandy didn't try and Vandy itself, it would have been much worse. I really can't see how A&M doesn't torch the Auburn defense.

If I was an Auburn fan, I'd want everybody out, starting with the AD to every clown on the coaching staff on down to slapping the backwards hat off the purple-faced Trooper's head. And yes, that includes letting Stache go play with his disco ball and strobe light. Get in the right decade dude, there's your first clue.
