Mettenberger is a basket case. What he needs more than anything is another game (preferably against a weak opponent) to try to get his feet underneath him. Practice isn't going to do it. He's going to have 2 weeks to think about the gravity of Nov. 3rd. and what's on his shoulders. When you're already clueless, that isn't a good thing.

We have not seen improvement week to week, so your theory sucks.

Last 2 seasons, we had a bye before the Bama game. I'll say it worked out well both times.

you want that to be true so bad. With the injury problems LSU has had this year it can only help.

2010 and 2011 say otherwise.

They hate to think about the fact that they really really could lose.

You might be on to something. I can see Miles telling Mett before the game,"I don't care if you throw 5 picks, just wing it. It's the only chance we got!"

Are you confident that your QB will play well?

LSU didn't need good QB play in Tuscaloosa last season.

So...... which is it, Mett has to think for 2 weeks about the gravity of the situation and he's tense or He's not worried and he'll just wing it?

Take a stance and stick with it. Quit flip-flopping.

I take it that the answer to my question is no.
