You have to use just 1 player from each of the 14 schools and make a complete team. This is my list, what you got?
G Anthony Peeler, MU
G Acie Law, aTm
G Pete Maravich, LSU
G Latrell Sprewell, Bama
G Vernon Maxwell, UF
G John Roche, USC
F Charles Barkley, AU
F Corliss Williamson, Ark
F Dominique Wilkins, UGA
F Gerald Glass, Ole Miss
F Bernard King, UT
C Sam Bowie, UK
C Eric Dampier, MSU
C Will Perdue, Vandy

Now that's just full retard.
eta: For Bama, I'd choose Robert Horry. Dude played in the NBA for 16 years and has 7--count 'em--7 rings.

Then you never saw him play or just think because he was hurt he was awful.
I could've taken Issel but he was a F and needed a C.
Turpin was the PF when Bowie was playing so couldn't use him.
Horry played F and I needed a G read the premise of the post.

at the risk of offending UK fans, I'd submit (and correct me if I'm wrong) that quite arguably 3 of the starting five of an "All-SEC team" would come from LSU: Pete Maravich, Shaquille O'Neal, Bob Pettit.

Miss. St. has to be Bailey Howell. His numbers are sickening and he was an all-american and a hall of famer in the NBA and he led some really good MSU teams, grant it, it was a long time ago, but he was still a super badass.

I saw him play plenty. I'm still pissed that he won SEC freshman of the year over Howard Carter. Hi-C should have won it that year. You could have taken Turpin, because he was a hell of a center. I remember him tearing LSU a new a-hole just about every time they played. Hell, I would have taken the Eyebrow kid over Bowie.
I hated Bowie. He was all arms. Maybe the only human being with longer arms than Jerry "Ice" Reynolds.

As good as Bowie was, Davis may have been better. And I say that with complete respect towards Bowie. I've just never seen a player like Davis and I've been watching for a bit. Of course it depends on whether you operate under the assumption that Davis was a 5/Center in Cal's system.
I hate these lists though. Mostly because certain schools have multiple players that would fit in spots and you're creating the list knowing that some schools haven't had a shadow of the talent that others have had.

LSU does have 3 of ESPN's top 50 NBA players of all time

Not even the best center to play at State

This list is laughable. No Shaq? What the hell man?

True. But collegiate talent doesn't always translate to NBA talent.

Read the OP and tell me how I should put Shaq on there? I can make better argument for Chris Jackson than Shaq on an all time SEC list.
Belle I agree that UK could have its own team, but was trying to get every school.

The OP is why your list is laughable.

Bring yours out with one of all 14 teams then. I want to see yours, I'm sure I can tear it apart.

If I had to choose between Shaq and Maravich for LSU, I'd choose Maravich for his list.

I think Joe Johnson may end up being our best player ever. He wasn't as good as Big Nasty in college but has already had a much more decorated NBA career

It's not even about UK for me. The Maravich vs. Shaq argument is a good example. I don't see how you choose between one or the other because they are drastically different but equally good.
