Uekman Foundation announces scholarship

Very cool.


Little confused about the walk-on part though because Uekman was one of our first commits in the '10 class and a top 25 TE as well as the #4 player in state.

Yeah, I didn't get that part either. Mistake by the reporter, maybe?

ETA: Official UofA release says same thing. Did he pay his own way to make room the year he redshirted? LINK

Cheshire you are correct. Garrett was on a Full Ride. Still it's a great gesture by the Uekman family.

Very awesome! I think endowed scholarships are one of the best donations that can be given to a university, as long as the school doesn't shite the money away in dumb investments or hedge funds.
