Bars will open early on northgate. I want to say they opened at 8 for Arkansas but it could have been earlier. Probably will be for LSU. Beer is 24 hours

There are none. Campus is wet. Bars open at 7 am on Gamedays for 11 am kicks. Liquor Stores close at 9 pm though.

Tailgating starts on Friday, so there really isn't any rule to that. We'll be there at noon on Friday, head to Northgate (bars close at 2 am), then back to the tailgate.

Grocery Stores and Gas Stations sell beer and wine. Got to go to a Liquor Store for Liquor.

Gameday in CS is very open on game days. Walk around town and openly drink a beer or whatever if you are 21. Me and a buddy of mine were worried about drinking while we were walking down the street when we got stopped by CSPD but all they care about is if you are of age. Just don't do that on Northgate. They will get you their and slap you with a nice fine. Not quite Burbon street. I think Mad Hatters opens at 8 and they have hands down the best bloody Mary that I have ever had. I make sure to go everytime I am in town.

As long as you don't act like a complete idiot its very lax on gamedays, I've walked from one side of campus to the other with a beer in my hand.

Most of it has been covered. The laws are pretty lenient but don't act like an idiot. Mainly they are looking for folks who are over the top drunk and acting like a jerk or underage. If you keep it responsible you will have a great time. Don't have to put your drinks in a cup or anything, last game I walked in the MSC with a beer.

They will search your bags on entering the stadium but it's pretty lax. If you put any effort into hiding your flask you will be fine. You can also bring up to 1 liter of water per person into the game.

Drunk coonasses will be arrested and deported back to La.

Other than that you have nothing to worry about.

my real concern was alleviated with the knowldge that the bars will be open early. I am of age, and know how to act in enemy territory. I was just concerned with the early start time, we don't play that early very often, and I know a lot of Texas has some very antiquated blue laws that could prevent fun from happening early in the day

@murph

The Corner Bar is my personal favorite. Great food, better drink prices, a lot of TVs, and outdoor rooftop seating. Should be great for our 11am game.
