I don't think it had much to do with Texas so much as wanting to have the best coverage all day long.

The real loser here is the fans. Aggies and Tigers meeting had the potential for absolutely epic tailgating with the giant smokers from Aggieland meeting the crazy cajun cooking from LSU and a LOT of serious drinking.

I actually think the game helps A&M as LSU is staying in Conroe and will thus have to get up early to drive in. A&M also did well with the Arky game at 11.

Sucks any way you slice it though.

Don't buy it.
Bama is the top-ranked team, defending national champions playing a rivalry game on the road. That's a huge draw for national TV.

While I do think LSU-aTm is going to be a slightly better game, I think ESPN went for the best games at the best time slots. These guys live and die by ratings, that's going to drive every decision they make. Money and business override favoritism every time.

This guy put a ton of work into that theory. Props to him (and I wouldn't be surprised if that had some truth in it).

"Rivalry"? This game hasn't been a rivalry since UT won it in 2006. Bama is favored by 18.5 and half points. Explain to me how anyone outside of a regional market gives a flying frick.

Texas/Baylor will be high scoring. It makes sense. MSU/MTSU makes no sense anyway you slice it.

That's the thing that doesn't make any sense at all. Oh but wait it's miss states homecoming

What about Georgia v. Kentucky at 7pm? This whole weekend reeks of bias and malcontent.
