It is abundantly clear that the admins do not care about GA being a top football program.

They could care less if we ever win the SEC east, much less the SEC and much, much less the NC.

What they do care about is a full stadium and revenues. That is all. And richie seems capable of taking care of those as long as he keeps beating the lessers and tech.

So, revele in the wins against Vandy, Kentucky, Barners, Ole Piss, tech and the OOC and be prepared for a thumping when we play a program and team of count.

Learn to love the Outback, Capital One and yes, even the Independence Bowls, cause that is where we are gonna be. Just like Andy and the pickles. Learn to love'em.

richie isn't going anywhere (see above), blowbo isn't going anywhere, he is running richie's O and will point to the point compiled against the lessers, Grantham not so sure, if he keeps giving up +30s, maybe so.

You need to embrace richie's attitude. Look at the positive. We beat 10 teams last year. That is pretty hard to do. Forget about losing to every team with a winning record. See how that works?

So, relax and enjoy the ride, but make sure you realize where we are going, because it is not Miami, it is the the Chick-Fil-A Bowl. Year after year after year.

It will take an 8 win season to get him fired. You're right, he will prob keep getting 10 win outback bowl years.

Retirement? The only hope.

i think 2013 is the last year we have to deal with lumps from this staff and after we do bad they get enough pressure for richt to retire after the season

Just let this sink in:

Notre Dame, USCe, Stanford, West Virginia,FSU, Clemson, and a ton of other schools are more relevant then UGA. Just let that fricking shite sink in....mother....fricker.

retooc, after a decade of being the HC of this program, he went 6 - 7 two years ago including a loss against Central Fla in a bowl and that didn't get him.

I think we can win 8 until the cows come home and they won't touch a hair on that sculpted head.

True, and they don't care, let that sink in. Ain't no heat coming richie's way as long as be beats the lessers and tech.

It's all about coaching. ND, FSU and Clemson are good examples of teams like UGA that have tremendous resources but who have consistently underachieved over the last 10 years. In sharp contrast, SC and particularly WVU are teams who have done more with less. Our problem is we have never been able to do more with more with the exception of 1980 with Herschel.

The OP nails the crux of the issue. UGA has never had a truly great coach because our admins are satisfied with a coach of sound character who wins just enough to keep the donations rolling in. As long as our football program remains one of the most profitable in the nation, our situation won't change.

The Dooley culture is still there in the AD, but is starting to finally slip away. A lot of our grads live 60 minutes or less from the campus, so it is going to be filled even when we are not all that good. Richt is better than Dooley as a coach all and all, it is just that the SEC is tougher and 1 or 2 players can not win you a NC any more... I think the fans and grads want it, but they are one of the most profitable ADs in the NCAA right now as is...

I told everybody and their fricking brother on dwg rant to watch out for Holgerson when they hired him. Wish there was a thread to bump everybody said..mehhhhhhhhhhhh he'll never get the talent...who the frick wants to go to WVU. Then they buttfricked Clemson to death in the bowl game. Now he's a genius. It's that Mumme, Leach coaching tree baby .get some

So the guy likes to show his arse at the casino. who gives a shite. JUST WIN

Less donations to the school and more donations to the players. It's the wave of the future. Surfs up UGA

They had 2 first round picks and a total of 5 NFL guys on that team and there are still some players coming through...

I agree. Next year is a disaster waiting to happen.
