Clicked the link on the SECr on Nkemdiche and noticed this in a separate paragraph on Printz.

quote:

Irwin said several other colleges are “privately” recruiting Printz because they have a quarterback already committed.

What did the board's opinion on Printz end up being?

If he comes to AU, White Cam 2.0. If he goes elsewhere he'll be the next Tyler Wilson

Just making sure.

Although, after watching JJ live, I'm a fan. He's obviously still got some work to do (as do pretty much all recruits before they see significant playing time), but he's got a lot of raw ability.

It'd be nice if we had someone on staff who could mold that ability

Yeah I like what JJ has to bring to the table but I'm sold on Hackenberg if he wants to come to Auburn

I wouldn't turn him down.

This QB class is one where there are a lot of really solid QBs coming up, but not really any that make you go "wow"

Does Loeffler have any connection with this kid? Maybe at his time at Temple?

IF so, this would be the only, and I mean the only way i would say to give CSL a second year was if we signed him, allowed SL to get his own staff if he so choose, and CH was our starting QB next year day 1.

He doesn't report a Temple offer or anything but not sure how the coaching got in contact with him or if there's any prior connection between him and our staff.

I dont see that happening and if it does it means we'll our coach will be gone before the end of the season

I dont either but i have always been a fan of letting talent play and figure out the game. Marcus Roberson at UF is doing very well but took his lumps last season. AU has done that with OL in the past.

It may suck at first but if you take a talent and say he is the QB discussion over, it can work.

I think he stick with Penn St only because he will start from day 1 there.
