I have not watched them play a single down this season. I do see that they have had a rather weak schedule, but is this team legit or not?

I don't even ever see them on the highlights late night after all of the games.

I do know that they struggled against Troy, but will it be safe to say that (if) they beat Tennessee in their upcoming game that they could be the one sleeper who could frick up someone's season in the SEC? (which obviously, I am talking about fricking up Alabama)

For some reason, every year.. I know a pretty decent amount about every SEC (well besides Kentucky) but I never know a single damn thing about Miss State... I guess their PR department sucks or something because the only time I ever see them or hear about them on TV is when they are playing Bama.

I'm not trolling or anything about their team, I'm just trying to find out if this team is actually as good as they think they are.

We honestly don't know how good we are. This weeks game will tell a lot.

We are a solid 8 win team and good enough to beat anyone on any given day, that's a definite.

Any more than that? Ask me after Saturday. If we win and look good winning, then we could easily make a push for 10 wins.

Since when does one's PR department control what ESPN talks about

No.

I have never thought about Miss State ever .. I mean like ever.

For some reason, I just kind of forget that Miss State is in the SEC... Like I said, not trying to sound like a dick... but I just forget about you guys for some reason.

I am more worried about the State game than any other game on the Schedule

Saban still knows about us. Also knows what it feels like to have Crxxm's nuts on his forehead too. No flame though, right.

This is my attempt at an unbiased opinion on Mississippi State.

They are a very good football team, but not as good as their fans or some think they are. Their marquee victory thus far is against a 1-4 Auburn team who could easily be 0-5 right now. Both lines are good but the linebackers are a tad overrated. Not saying they aren't good but they are just average and not elite in the SEC. Secondary is in the top 3 of the SEC. Russel has been impressive so far but that's because of the weak competition.
They haven't overly impressed me in any games so far this season. A close win against Troy and a 13 point win over arguably the worst team in the SEC.
Like delta said. We will know how good they are after this week. This is their first real test.

I think you answered your own question...their upcoming SEC games will prove if they are truly 2nd best in the SECW.

They really haven't been tested much, which is kind of sad considering we are about halfway through the season.

Both State and Ole Miss looking much better than past years, never thought I would say this, but I am kind of looking forward to the egg bowl this year

Me too. This years Egg Bowl is going to be a blood bath. I think it will be one of the hardest hitting games in the SEC this year.
