Would you fire Dooley if we somehow win against Msu and South Carolina and compete 60 mins against Bama?

I would not.

Remember that time the Bobby Boucher came back at halftime and the Muddogs won the Bourbon Bowl?

If he can pull 2 W's out of the next 3 games.

Yes

Even with only a W over MSU, I like him for another season.

Anything less, :rimshot:

win against MSU and SC means he'll most likely end up with 9-3. he's safe with 9-3 imo.

Senior classes that were left for Dooley have been awful beyond comprehension. In 2010 we had all-freshmen O-line. last year we started 2 true freshmen at LB and a freshmen safety. We had holes all over depth chart since 2010. Hell, look how many JUCO starters we have now in year 3.

Next year, our O-line and a bunch of players Dooley recruited will be Seniors and I'd like to see how it plays out. Even Shula got year 4. Dooley deserves at least one more year. Unless we have a home run hire waiting as a replacement, attrition will be unreal once again and will set the program back another 4-5 years.

Here's a recent quote from Tiny Richardson:
"There's no place I'd rather be than Tennessee. There's no other team I'd rather be apart of. There's no other coach I'd rather play for."

I don't think we'll really have much of a choice if Tennessee is 9-3 with two close losses.

I think he SHOULD have to beat everyone but Bama to keep his job, though. I think losses to Alabama and South Carolina merit termination.

if we win against MSU and USC that means we'll probably be 9-3 at the end of the regular season.

no way you can fire him with that record.

I doubt he will be fired at 8-4, but the seat will be that much hotter for next season.

Anything less than 8 wins and CDD needs to gtfo.

What's he supposed to say? "damn our coaching fricking blows. we couldn't beat a top 25 team to save ourselves."

Him not getting fired at 8-4 is the worst case scenario for Vol fans. Dooley will never be able to beat that record.

Fire him at 8-4. He sucks.
