It's obvious that it was gonna be a bad spot if he marked it a yard short if you watched the play.

I have no doubt that Saban and his staff teach our players how to draw penalties because it is to our advantage to do so. For example, they could teach defensive lineman a certain technique with their hands inside that is equally effective while making holding calls more evident.

So, only Saban, a DB/defensive specialist, knows how to coach these great, innovative techniques that keeps his teams from holding. Guessing CLM's years as an OL & yrs of coaching OL's doesn't hold up to Saban's expertise. Every OL coach at this level knows how to coach players in regards to not holding. It just comes down to the players still being 18-21 yr old college kids & if you honestly think that it is superior coaching that overcomes this "liability", then why do NFL professionals, with NFL OL coaches, still get called for it every game? To some degree, pick your own level of team bias, it still boils down to SEC refs.

When he got to Alabama, Coach Saban prefected the "Process".

Apparently, the SEC officials had Alabama bias in 1996, because you notice the penalties went from 100 in '95, to 65 in '96. Also, Alabama bias was clearly shown in 2004, when LSU's penalties dropped from 102 to 72.
Yup. Alabama bias.

It definitely is. I think it shows that LSU's teams have more of a thug mentality and can't be disciplined. Maybe it's just the culture there or something.
