First off, I'm extremely pleased we weren't blown out. We had no business being in that game. However, Chizik & Co. found themselves right in the thick of it and didn't have a fricking clue how to deliver. I'm never happy with a loss and as some obscure LSU poster said, I'd rather have an uninspired win than an inspired loss. We're getting our lunch handed to us if we don't continue to progress after this game.
Immediate grades:
Offense: D-
Defense: B+ (Let's face it, Mett and their play calling helped us a little)
Special teams: C+
Coaching: C- (VanGorder saved us from a failing grade)
Overall: C+
Thoughts?

Offense = F IMO,
We started off taking shots down the field then went to sweeps and weird screens the rest of the night. I would have liked to seen more power running then play action off of that.

I only gave them a passing grade because our touchdown was an offensive touchdown for once

I think our offense could have been a C+ if we ran the ball up the middle more and less sweeps with McCallebb. Loeffler gonna Loeff

Proud as hell of our defense, offense failed us we will get there. Proud as hell of our student section, we had the joint rocking all game. WDE I'm not for moral victories but I can't be upset with our boys they laid it out tonight. We knew what our offense was, our defense killed it.

Defense is an A...only two obvious missed tackles that were huge, but I mean look who missed them.. Secondary was incredible.. LSU threw the ball deep twice and had great balls thrown, but Holsey and Whitehead both made huge plays.. They played as good as we will see this year on D

Playcalling is only as good as the execution. Piss poor execution on O killed us.
