I think if we played right now yall would have a better chance but at the end of the year who knows with injuries and depth issues yall have.

You do realize yall can have injury/depth issues at the end of the year too right?

I'm sure State wouldn't have faired much better. But they will never play a team like Texas out of conference, i forgot. How about they put a real schedule together.

We beat that Texas arse when they came to Starkville- they dont want to come back. State would probably beat Texas in Starkville.

Texas is about to lose 2 of their next 3 games

A healthy Tyler Wilson, and very much like Va Tech a couple years ago there's too much talent to turn the season into a dumpster fire. Hell Vandy got to a bowl with Jay Cutler + Earl Bennet, Arkansas has the talent to be a good team.

Well since 'Dan the Man' got there, State hasn't played a formidable out of conference opponent. Another reason why he is overrated.

Except when he played the ACC champion in 2009

La Tech looked pretty damn formidable last year beating your arse in Oxford and in their bowl game.

Why would a game that happened 20 YEARS AGO have any effect on scheduling nowadays? I can assure you they aren't afraid of playing in Starkville. If they will go play in Columbus, Ohio then they aren't afraid of playing anywhere.

Well. It appears we're at a wall in the conversation.

Who was the ACC champion that year anyway, I need someone to jog my memory. Yeah, they beat an Ole Miss team with the worst record in the history of the program. That says a lot.

Sad when you have to use a game from 20 years ago as your example of beating an out of conference opponent.

We've also won 2 bowl games (Wake Forest and Michigan). So, had we scheduled teams like that instead of a few of the cupcakes, our record would be about the same. Not sure where you're going with that.

Texas is on a whole other level when it comes to psychical talent - maybe MSU would win 1 out of 5 times.

Dan's first year:

We played an 11-3 Ga Tech team, 10-4 Houston team, 10-3 MTSU team on the road, and 7 SEC teams that went to bowls. Vandy was the only team we played all year that didn't have a winning record.

This is such a stupid argument.

we have much more depth than you which means an injury to a starter for yall hurts alot worse than one of our starters getting hurt.

I think you guys are excited at a bunch of Fool's Gold. You were down 38-10 in a game you were getting manhandled in. Texas started subbing on D and relaxing, and you threw it deep to the best player on your team- he made a play.

That Texas team was far, far from an offensive juggernaut and you guys made them look awesome. They got physical with you, as will all the other SEC teams, and you guys cant handle that.

I dont think you guys are as good as ULM, and will still go 0-8 in the SEC. Auburn will beat you because they will be more physical.

0-8 and 0-22 in the SEC. The streak continues

You're nuts if you don't think we get at least 1 SEC win.

Is this an act, or are you just drunk?

You're saying we absolutely couldn't win a decent OOC game unless we play them in bowls?
