Looks like me and my 18yr old son will be making our first trip to Jordan Hare for the Sept 22 game. Any parking tips, must see things etc around the campus? TIA

Nope, nothing to see. Go straight to the stadium.

Parking is going to be a chore, just get ready for that.
I'd say go get lemonade (as cheesy as it sounds), and get in early enough to watch the eagle.
It's a very pretty campus but nothing really historical happend there so there isn't any must sees really.
have fun.

Eat at the BBQ house right on campus, get whatever as long as you finish with a PB pie. Go to toomers drugstore and get a lemonade, the legit one, no less sugar bullshite. Go see te original of the "walks" with tiger walk. Make it in the stadium for the eagle flight. I'd park at tiger town in Opelika and get shuttled over. I've heard good things about that.

Walk the campus as I would recommend for any other school. As previously mentioned get in the stadium early enough for the Eagle. Don't use exit 51 ever on a home game. Prepare for a lot of walking. Check out Bloodhound for some amazing food.

Look into parking in places like Tiger Town and shuttling to campus, parking is free. You can meet a lot of people.
Get Toomer's Lemonade, it is worth it and a fun little shop.
Try smelling corndogs to Find LSU tailgating tents, all opposing fans seem very welcoming to their own when they are in the Burn.

Go to Toomers Corner and look at the trees that are wilting away.

Good thing about Au is you can still park just about anywhere off campus. Pick any side street and you will be fine.
Go see the dead trees and teach your son about how to not take things so seriously.
MAke sure you see the eagle fly...its 20 minutes before KO.

Father-son tag teaming would be a good bonding experience.

For parking, the only place you cannot park on game day is a parking spot. Other than that, pretty much anything/anywhere goes

Just get there early enough to walk around campus and take it in.. it's different than LSU so it's something you would enjoy. Don't be afraid to approach an AU tailgate and ask questions and such.
Go get some lemonade from Toomer's Corner and make sure you get to TigerWalk to see AU walk to the stadium. Many opposing fans love seeing that tradition.
Make sure you're in the stadium and in your seat 30 min before kick.
As for parking, I'd park at TigerTown (exit 58 on I85) and ride the transit onto campus.

Marvel at the tiger footprints painted on the interstate off ramp

You didn't hear? The trees are going to make it. Apparently inbred bulldog remains are a cure for the poison, thanks to all of UGAs mascots of course.

I don't have much to add to what has already been said, but see as much of campus as possible, go to Toomers, and don't miss the eagle. I don't even like missing the eagle and I've seen it over 100 times.
Also, I would probably avoid the fraternity rows unless you enjoy having vulgar insults thrown your way. After LSU fans have vandalized and stolen stuff from the houses here in the past, they don't get treated very well in those areas. Other than that the people will be as nice as you'll find at any school. Like Rig said, don't be afraid to walk up to Auburn tailgates and meet the people. It's a very laid back atmosphere. Hope you guys have a great time.
