where does the lsu corndog saying come from

From urban dictionary:
An Alabama-hating LSU fan who has the distinct smell of a batter-covered hot dog on a stick, which also smells like Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge. He has only two types of jackets, one that's purple and gold and the other that's camoflauge. He's so obsessed with Nick Saban that he can't appreciate the successes of any other LSU coach. He is also known to butcher the pronounciation of words, like saying Arkansas as ARE-kansas.

Purportedly quipped from some Auburn writer who stated LSU fans all smelled like corndogs. Actually came from some other fanbase mocking the Nebraska CORNhuskers but "A" for effort and originality AU!

I've heard a lot of theories but don't really know. Tailgaiting is normally Cajun fare so it's not the food. Dunno.

That's about right. A school that can't even decide on a mascot starts a lame joke that makes no sense and then everyone else thinks its true and cool. Another reason to hate Auburn.
