I'm considering making my first trip to NW Arkansas in a few weeks. I've always wanted to get out that. I have a few questions
1. What is the thing(besides the game) I HAVE to do while i'm there?
2. And this is a stretch but hopefully someone will know, are there any comedy open mics on Friday or Saturday? I know most places do it on Tue or Wed but i'm taking a stab in the dark.
TIA for the info and hopefully i'll see you Hogs in a few weeks

I'm pretty tolerable as far as Bama fans go. Probably because I was raised in Mississippi. Anyhow, anyone know if a place called Drifter's does it on Friday? Saw something about it online but it was posted in 2010

Also, technically I guess i'd be in Little Rock on Friday as well if anyone knows any spots there to sling some jokes.
Again, thanks in advance.

a comedy club in NWA?
That's the best joke you'll hear in one... if there was one.
There's been a few pop up but they never last, generally they're too small and not popular enough to generate the $ to bring in name acts.
I did drop $85 per to see Martin Short at the WAC. I'm not sure if your bammer brand of comedy would go over well in Fayetteville but maybe try setting up shop on the Grub's side of the Walton Arts Center and the kid that plays guitar might let you use his PA system while he takes a break.

I can't help you with your second question. Sorry.
Regarding must things to do in Fayetteville, it depends on how much time you have, Below are a few suggestions, which I have expanded a little beyond Fayetteville.
1) Dickson Street - Lots of great places to get a drink or meal. It will be crowded as hell on Saturday.
2) Scenic highway 71 - On the way up or back, drive Highway 71 instead of the normal 540. Very scenic with lots of places to stop. The pig trail is another if you are more adventurous.
3) Quick trip to Eureka Springs - It's only 45 minutes from Fayetteville and is well worth it.
Have a safe trip. I'll be heading out the Thursday before the game myself. Long drive from NC.

In fayetteville, that place is out of business. It was well out of town next to a junkyard. I'm serious, a junkyard. You wouldn't want to go there if you have teeth.

Get off I-40 in Ozark and take highway 23 (the Pig Trail). It's a cool scenic road, and Wakarusa is held there every year on Mulberry Mountain.

If you have time and are interested in such things, the Crystal Bridges Museum is about half an hour away in Bentonville.

If you aren't getting into town until late Saturday morning you probably won't have time for the museum. In that case, I'd check out the Farmer's Market on the square and then wander up Dickson Street until close to game time.
It looks like Saturday night there's an improv show at the Uark Bowl on Dickson Street. However, it's a local group, so it may be pretty awful.

If the weather is nice you could always hit up Devil's Den. It's just 25 minutes or so from campus and has some beautiful hiking/biking trails.
