After all, the game was moved in the interest of "safety".

It is, but it looks like a giant shithole now. So, pretty much no change.

We should have played the game after Isaac came through. It could have done as much as 2-3 million dollars in improvements for the in-coming guests.

I'm glad we were able to save so many lives imperiled by the tropical depression by switching the date of this game. The LA Tech AD is truely a hero.

You frickers not seeing the flooding this thing is causing??

Can you let the folks there prepare their homes and business for the worst case scenario?

Is whining common among all Aggies or just the ones here?

Yeah, down in the southernmost parish in the state! It's flooding in a place where the land is primarily composed of silt deposited by the river. That's pretty much a given. It's not going to be the same storm when it gets to Shreveport.

Check this out:

Sorry to bother you with, you know, facts, but the rain is primairly in Mississippi now. Shreveport may get a strong breeze and a little drizzle, but that's it.

It IS RAINING in Shreveport NOW and will get worse as the day goes on. Although the worst won't get there until Friday, the game would be played in bad, but not life threatening, weather if played tonight.

Just stop. A minor wiggle, and Shreveport would be getting the flood right now. The guy made the best call that he could with the information presented to him.

They always say the first thing you should do when you get to prison is take on the baddest dude in the place. Instead, you guys got bent over by the guy who is already everybody else's bitch, and now you're stuck holding La Tech's jizz jar.

There is no way Alabama, LSU, Texas, Florida, or even Tennessee let's this game get postponed.

Funny how most of the bitching is being done by people who live in entirely different states than LA, where the hurricane is seriously affecting millions of lives as we speak.

Get over it and go fill up a jar.

Seriously, open the link. The rain is all on the west side (as it always is) and that's ~200 miles east of Shreveport in another state. You're talking about a pretty major "wiggle".

Fact of the matter is, the guy didn't do this for public safety - he dodged us at the first opportunity so he could stall for better ticket sales.

Ever been stationed in Korea during Monsoon season or during a Typhoon? Seen entire connexes with live ammunition floating down the street? Driven in a HMMWV where the water comes up to the top of the wheel?

STFU and color.

They shut down schools too. It's not like the only thing being postponed is the game. The ticket sale theory gives you something else to complain about but it doesn't hold up.
