Need student tix info.

Are student ID's scanned, etc.? Can student tix be upgraded to reg. priced tix? As visitors what do we need to know?

Any other info appreciated.

This was how it was back when I was still in college:

Students tickets require a student ID which is scanned. If a non-student was using it, you had to get a guest sticker for the ticket from the ticket office. I am pretty sure the price of the guest sticker brings the price of the ticket to the regular ticket price.

It's been a while since I was a student, BUT I'm pretty sure I'd know if there had been any changes.

Students have to pull tickets prior to the game by coming to the stadium ticket windows on the official ticket pull day for their class (senior priority on down). In order to use a student ticket to get into the game, the bearer of the ticket is required to present a student ID at the gates. Student tickets, once they've ALREADY been pulled, can be converted to general admit for the seat named on the ticket FOR A FEE if converted by the student who pulled the ticket prior to the game. Be REAL weary of anyone on the street scalping student section tickets that haven't ALREADY been converted, because that's worthless to you. I believe they use a sticker, or at least they did when I was there.

The student section has a listed maximum capacity of 30,000 but they've sold 30,284 footbal sports passes (entitles a student to a ticket) this year, which they claim is "sold out" for the first time (prior to this year any student who wanted a football sports pass could buy one).

Anyways man, enjoy yourself!

Anyone can go to the ticket window and convert the existing student ticket to guest ticket, it doesn't have to be a student.

In many past years when students pulled their tickets, they could buy a second guest ticket at the same time. This year, I doubt they will be letting students do that since their will not be extra room for the conference games. You still will be able to convert a existing student ticket though.

Here is a link to a brochure about how A&M does tickets for students.
