I live in Florida and the Gators spring game was on Sunshine Sunday morning. I've got to say that Florida will likely not even make a bowl game this year. Their defense will keep them in ball games, but they look very disorganized on offense.

Not only do they not have an SEC caliber QB, they have no running game to speak of, and no real WR threats.

I've heard a few talking heads giving the Gators a chance at winning the SEC East. I'd sure like to know what they are seeing because I think UGA, TENN, and USC all finish ahead of Florida.

I'm not sure Muschamp has what it takes to lead a team. Maybe Texas lucked out.

Well he did just have his first real recruiting class. Probably needs more than 1 year to decide if he will be good or not.

It's not like they are Rutgers. Florida always has talent. The problem is, he doesn't seemt to be able to coach it.

Has never been a head coach. Should have never hired him. Fla fb is down and they hire a non-experienced coach who is in the 3rd season with a differenct OC every season. They might call for his job this season and the ad that hired him. Sometimes it best to hire a coach than ur best friend.

I agree. I moved to Panama City recently and love that channel because I like to fish. I watched a lot of that game yesterday and saw the same thing you did.

I started a thread saying they would be lucky to win 6 games and of course I caught hell for it but they are relly bad on offense.

Its really ridiculous how UF doesn't have any skill players. FLA has the best RBs and WRs every single year. Urban really sucked at recruiting after that 07 class imo. Regardless of what rivals ranked his next few classes they don't have the talent right now.

I hope they give Boom time to bring up the talent level.

Jeremy Foley is the one of the best ADs in the business. Back to Back Capital One Cups.

FYI This is Mus's second year. I don't know how many times you have been told this but clearly you chose to ignore.

Well, which is it? This is the typical crud I hear.

We are loaded but not loaded.

QBs - can we wait until we see them play in their true sophomore year before we discard them.

RBs - Urban could not recruit a RB to save his life

WRs - Urban could not recruit WRs to save his life the last 2 or three years.

TE - We have two true TEs on the roster and they are both FR. One just had a screw put into his foot.

OC - 3 in 3 years. Not usually good for continuity. I'm not sure how many teams have had to learn 3 different offenses and have looked good doing it.

Team attitude: It was in the crapper when Boom got here. He's gotten rid of some bad apples and seems to have gotten the kids turned around and lowered the off the field issues. He's got to get a bit of credit for that, no?

HC - can Boom win in the SEC? The truth is, we don't know. No Gator fan knows and no other fans know for sure. Lots of folks have opinions and very few of those opinions are based on much of anything substantial. It's his second year for Pete's sake. If he can't get it done he'll be gone just like at any other big school.

Maybe Foley saw something he like in Boom and it will work out. That's another possibility.

Look at every pre-season all SEC list. You don't see any Gators on the list on the O side of the ball. Look at every position ranking started by the good folks here. There's rarely a Gator listed on either side of the ball. Is this Boom's fault for the lack of talent? He's actually recruiting very well. It will take another year or two to re-load from a roster that was a 62 scholarship players last year. That's worse than any recent probation that I'm aware of.

Finally, it was a freaking spring game. Pease barely got a chance to show them the playbook.

Finally, finally, you misspelled inbred.

You really think Foley is in trouble if Boom doesn't work out? You can't be this dumb, can you?

Best friends??? Well, maybe you are this dumb.

Boom is in his third season with his 3rd OC in three years??? Yes, you are this dumb.

Sounds like an even match up to me. Our offense is good but our defense sucks. Floridas defense is good but their offense sucks.

We don't know this for sure yet. I certainly hope sucking is not how we are going to describe it.

We have a new OC,new OL coach and new strength coach. All were needed. Hopefully we upgraded.

WR - we don't have any stars. We have guys. Hopefully that's enough to get a bit of production.

RBs - we have zero depth and this is a huge concern but help is on the way for next year. We just need to limp through this year.

We also don't know if you offense is going to be good or not. They haven't even taken a snap in a game yet.

We'll see. Pease was at the school for only a few weeks before the spring game.

There's a reason Alabama went after him. Remember that come December...

I'm not down on Pease or Boom right now. Heck, if anything, with the lack of offensive skill players worth a shite, I'm not even thinking about this year being a big deal unless we just look completely lost, we have a bunch of arrests and we don't show any improvement at all.

about half the starters on offense played in that game.

Doesn't matter. The SECR says we will suck and Boom is terrible. You just have to accept it as fact.

LSU looked like shite in BCS title game. Les is not a good coach by that standard. Gimme a break.
Spurrier got beat in NC title game after 1995 season by Nebraska by something 62-23...gee...we should have fired him! Of course we were undefeated reg season in '95 going 12-0 incl SECCG and in 1996 we went 11-1 and beat the girls school to win all the marbles.
Boom is going to be fine...he is molding UF into a tough azz team.

Muschamp is here until he is not, which at the earliest will be the end of 2013. Since this is reality, along with the fact that JF isn't going to give me or anyone else on a sports forum a call for our amazing wisdom and insight. How I or any other fan at UF feels about CWM will have not one iota of impact on his being here on more season. I'd prefer to save my bitching for a point in time when it might actually matter.

I'd prefer to talk about things I hope to see improve, what may actually look better and what particularly still needs work beyond instead of "Muschamp is in over his head! Rabble, rabble, rabble!" It's a pointless discussion.
