It means that LSU fans hate being forced to play at 1:00 on the day after Thanksgiving. Nick Saban pleaded with the SEC to change this when he was at LSU, and the SEC laughed at him. If you recall, in 2009 and 2010 the Iron Bowl was moved to that Friday afternoon because the SEC thought that game had more national appeal than LSU/Arkansas. Nick Saban once again complained, but this time he is the Alabama head coach. The SEC said, "We're sorry Sir Saban, we'll move you back to Saturday and stick the ditch diggers from LSU back on Friday."
, good stuff, you havent a clue to why the game was moved to friday and then to saturday and although the move to friday was because the SEC(not because UA or AU wanted it) the move to saturday had nothing to do with the SEC

How bout the 4th down from the Auburn 30 yard line that LSU completed a pass then fumbled out of bounds. The play was ruled a catch and fumble on the field, but the replay guy decided that 3 steps with the football did not make a catch so he ruled the play incomplete... Auburn ball. Of course the late 4th quarter pass interference was reviewed and the replay official deemed that the ball was tipped before any interference took place. WTF?!?!?!?!?!
are you sure this wasnt 2006

Please enlighten me. The SEC wanted the Iron Bowl on Friday for the nation to see. Bama/Auburn got mad so the SEC moved them back after the first rotation, and stuck LSU back on the Friday that the LSU administration has always protested.

Well first off the iron bowl was always the week before thanksgiving, but sveral other schools in the SEC complained it gave UA/AU an unfair advantage in the SEC Championship game, thus we were forced to move it. Adminstration in talks with CBS decided on the friday game because they thought it would draw larger ratings and more people.

UA/AU saw the errors in this mostly because of alumni complaining and when the CBS contract ran out they did not renew and moved to sat. As to why AR/LSU moved to friday you can thank your Adminstration, not the SEC.

or you could continue to believe

The SEC has a rule that alumnus are not allowed to call games with their school. Doesn't mean bias calls aren't made, but as with most things in this conference, it appears above board.
True, but the rivalries run so deep, I honestly wish that the SEC would not allow SEC alums to be SEC officials.

Just because a Bama grad can't offciate a Bama game, he can still offciate a game involving Auburn, LSU or Tennessee. What is to say that he doesn't intentionally miss a call here or there to influence the game against his alma mater's rival (especially a division rival)?

Who are the crew chiefs in the SEC that are the best and those that are the worst?

After a while, you will swear they are all equally, and infinitely, horrible. They seem to have gotten a little better the last couple of years, but 2009 was ridiculous. Penn Wagers is probably the current "worst" poster child, but they're all bad.

Refs will go so far as to actually tackling one of your players if they think you might upset a team that could play for the national title. Not joking.

I do remember that game. One of the funnier plays I've seen in recent years. But, we were hardly in a position to play for the national title that year. If I'm not mistaken, we had just been thumped by 30 in the Swamp the week before, so I doubt they were trying to protect us to keep our title hopes alive. But damn he sure did tackle that guy.
