Four dead in shooting in College Station

The Dallas Morning News is reporting that there was a mass shooting near the Texas A&M campus today.

The shooter is in custody.

@dallasnews: There are reports of a mass shooting in College Station. Update to come.

It is near Highland and Fidelity Streets.

Code Maroon website reports the suspect taken into custody. Suspect was firing from his house with automatic weapons Near Highland and Fidelity Streets in College Station. Scanner traffic indicates that at least two officers are down. No further details at this time.

It isn't just today. Its always been like this. The 'good old days' weren't so good, time heals parts of wounds and erased a lot of the memories. In the old days, we didn't have 24/7 media with everyone carrying around a way to take a video/picture and send a message to the internet, accessible by billions, instantly. There's always been crazies doing bad things.

So far no details have been released, but A&M uses Code Maroon instead of Code Red.
