If you don't completely collapse against Okie State and Arkansas and finish 9-4, is Mike Sherman still your coach?

Yes. 100% yes. Last season sucked, but hopefully it will be worth it.

Unfortunately, yes.

Led by 17 against Okie State at half -- Lost by 1

Led by 18 against Arky at half -- Lost by 4

Led Mizzou by 11 in 4th Quarter -- Lost in OT

Led Kansas State by 14 in 4th -- Lost in OT

Led Texas by 13 -- Lost

Sherman was a bitch in the 2nd half.

The miracle comeback he let Arky have and losing to the gay boys in Austin on Thanksgiving were the two unforgivables. But am glad we took the lumps and got Sumlin going into the SEC.

Yes, but the straw that broke the camels back was the Texas game... that one was inexcusable to lose.

We lost to them at Kyle last year, after blowing a lead, against a horrible texas team, for the last time we'll be playing each other for the foreseeable future. That's why he was fired. He also was not very on board with the SEC move which didn't help his cause at all. Either way I'm very excited about how things worked out and the direction CKS seems to have us going.

Yes.

I think it ended well for everyone. Sherman is a great NFL coach and will soon be a head coach in the NFL again (probably Miami in a few years).

He wasn't that big on strength and conditioning. Pro's know how to stay in shape or the team will fire them and hire someone who will stay in shape.

The college player is still learning.
We may be outscored this year (Aggies never loose but we are sometimes outscored) but we will fight to the end.

I can't even imagine the uproar that would occur within the LSU fanbase if this happened.

I'd almost forgotten the fact that we blew 5 double-digit, second half leads last year until you posted that Ball Gravy. What a totally different season last year could have been.

I drank. A LOT!

I think I had a meltdown for the first 3, then I just got numb.

I would venture so far to say that winning any one of those games might have saved Sherm.

But he didn't and I thank him for his efforts and am happy we have Sumlin. College coaching is different than NFL. Sumlin's a college guy.

Yup. The straw that broke the camels back was the tu loss. It saved Fran one year and he was the worst coach in A&M history.

The shite of it was his second half stats were just as bad when he coached under the Texans.

Most likely. But there's a reason we did. And he was a huge part of that reason.

And BTW, we collapsed in all but one of our losses. 5 losses by 17 points. That's a mentally weak team right there.

Does he keep his job with a win in that game?

I know a lot of Ags will disagree with me, but I honestly don't think so. Nor should he have.

It's hard to ignore a 4 game swing because you consistently only play one half of football.

this is what pisses me off more than anything.

he was doing this shite long before he got to A&M.

I wouldn't be surprised if you could find a ton of second half collapses from when he was HC in Green Bay.

Hell, he started having second half collapses and losses of double digit leads in game f-ing one against Arky St.

Unless you're an old school BMA who calls the shots and beating tu trumps everything at the end of a season. Either way I thank Sherman for righting the ship after Fran torpedoed the program but am also very excited about Sumlin being here now.
