I applaud Ms. Lampe for calling Pinkel out on this. I don't personally care what Pinkel thinks about Paterno, but I know if I lived in Missouri and the head coach of the biggest football team in the state made the statements he did, I would hope someone would straighten him out.

This is some state level democrat politician making political hay out of Pinkels comments for her own reasons.

Joe Paterno did a LOT of good for a lot of people over the course of a long career. He also made a series of very grievous errors in judgement that allowed a heinous crime to be perpetrated.

his memory will have both as a legacy. My impression is that those who worked with him and knew him will think positively. Those who didn't will remember the negative aspects published in the press. The families and people Sandusky molested, I am sure will hate Paterno with reason.

The complexity I think is that Paterno was likely a good man and a good coach who fricked up on this.

No doubt, but she's right.

Used to like Pinkel but as of late he has been annoying. Walking around SEC media days all cocky and reassured that they will compete in the SEC. How about some humility? Swag Sumlin on the other hand walks around reeking of swag, is humble, real, yet confident. Mizzou players were talking a big game as well. These comments won't help either

A local radio host had her on the radio and dominated. Dude is a shock jock but he made her look stupid on this.

It says it is 41 minutes, but he lays into her pretty early on.

Sounds to me like he hasn't read the Freeh report either because Paterno was implicated in the fact that he had a meeting with the AD to discuss what the next step would be

It's like Pinkel is putting a big target on his team. I would STFU if I were him.
