I did a search, this didn't show sorry-
I caught up on my media days DVR.
Did anyone catch Richt's discussion on Mett.
Overflowing with praise etc but I thought one thing was really interesting and perked my ears-
the question was asked if Mett was still at UGA what Richt thought the outcome would be..."certainly contending for the starting job if he didn't already have it"
IMO that tells me all I need to know

It's Richt. He's never gonna say a negative thing about anybody. What's he supposed to say? "Yeah he's good but he never would've started here over Murray so I'm glad he's gone"
Of course not. He's not here anymore, so there's no reason not to lavish praise on him.

It's not like he said "Oh yeah, he'd be starting for sure". I watched the interview too, he said "he'd be contending for the starting spot, if not have it".
Only an LSU fan would take that to mean "He would absolutely, beyond a shadow of a doubt, with full certainty be starting."

I dont think anyone thinks that, and as far as my stance on this. I've read UGA fans say that Mett looked better in practice than Murray did.

Oh, you mean the one televised practice that people got to watch on TV?
I've said repeatedly and will say again, I attended several practices with both of them there, and have 2 friends that work with the team, and everyone who knows anything substantial about it says he wouldn't beat out Murray.
But I guess the GDay game 3 years ago is more than enough evidence to prove otherwise right?
