A situational breakdown of Eddie Lacy

Many Bama fans are confident that Eddie Lacy will have a big season. Trolls and contrarians alike have posited that Lacy may have artificially inflated his 2011 numbers through what some have termed "garbage time" carries. Here is a breakdown that I found helpful re: when Lacy received carries and what he did with them.
Situational Breakdown for Lacy
It will be interesting to see if Lacy can pick up the pace in the first quarter and tight games while continuing to have monster fourth quarters.

Is he healthy? I've been hearing different things.

5.31 ypc in the first half of games. Not too shabby.

I'd like to know which games he had the fourth quarter carries in.
MSU, LSU, and maybe KSU in the opener? We usually didn't play him in garbage time.

He's healthy. If you wanna ask if Lacy is healthy go ask the same for Lattimore and Knile.

Lacy will be very good. I remember when we had Ingram, Richardson and Lacy all on campus back in 2010--they said he was the fastest RB on the team. Combine his speed, power and juke move lol on a LEGIT 6'0-6'1 225lb frame look out!!

It will be interesting to see if Trent Richardson can keep it up too:
Situational Breakdown for Richardson
Oh, look, Lacy's stats were BETTER than TR's were as a backup..............

As much as I hate to say it, it's a legit question. Turf toe is one of those nagging injuries that takes FOREVER to full heal

BUT HE'S GONNA BE AVERAGE.
Oh man I can't wait for Lacy to prove the doubters wrong.

He'll be good for 18ish carries a game. Yeldon should get plenty a game, and Fowler/Hart should combine for about 8 carries a game (minus garbage time). Hart will get most of his touches through the air.

It doesn't surprise him. Everyone says Lacy is average here, and he put up better numbers than TR did as a backup.

With Bama's o-line, he won't have to be 100%.
Who's the backup? Dee Hart? I'm ashamed I don't know this.

Looks like the carries were evenly spaced between the quarters, thus shooting down the Lacy 'garbage yards' theory.
I actually posted Lacy's carries by quarter 2-3 weeks ago, so this is Germans as hell.

You are missing it, too. Go look at Felix Jones' situational stats. Look at McFaddens. Ask yourself the questions, which of those two played first, most, and which one was better.
Take the lessons you learn from that example and carry them to this one

Here is Richardson's 2010 breakdown

I'm not surprised, which is why I linked it.
A lot of people are saying Lacy won't be very good, just like a lot of people said Richardson won't be as good as Ingram, and Ingram won't be as good in the starting role without Coffee, etc. etc.

And then they deny it later on. People deny saying it about Trent now, but we know they did.

If someone thought Trent wouldn't be as good as Ingram, I would love to see that. I'm thinking that is a strawman. Ingram came out of nowhere when he broke out. I doubt people were debating the off-season before his heisman campaign how good he would be. I really think that for some reason Lacy has been the focus of this particular line of thought more so than other Bama backs.
