Why did the SEC/Big 12 not sign on with the Sugar Bowl

as the tie-in vs. creating a new bowl - Champions Bowl?

I thought the reasoning was that the two conferences want to split the profits 2 ways instead of 3.

rumor is that the Champions Bowl will most likely "fold into" the Sugar Bowl.

what do ya mean fold into? Sugar Bowl should be the SEC's automatic tie in...

I thought I had read they were going to try to rotate it between the Sugar Bowl and Cotton Bowl. Might be wrong though. I would personally rather it be in NOLA every year.
