Can wait to hear Buck Belue's spin on this at lunch today.

There is no way to spin this one...its one thing to get a misdemeanor possession/underage drinking/drunk in public....those happen on college campuses all across america to regular students and athletes....absolutely no excuse on this one

makes me wonder if he had landed somewhere else like Bama if he would have turned out any different

And this is why Richt has underachieved at UGA. Everyone knows that Richt is a great guy and a 'player's coach' while Saban is often criticized as a hardass that demands the most out of his players, sometimes to the point of being out of control (see headsets, AJ arse-slap).

Which approach appears to be helping these kids more in the long run, not only as athletes but as citizens? Hmmm...

felonies----gun in a school zone and altered ID on the weapon....bond is $2500 for gun in school zone and $5000 for altered ID

Obviously, his college career is probably completely done

He's done at UGA for sure now. Maybe he will go JUCO or D2 but I cant see him suiting up for the Dawgs ever again

Well, when you get 2 felonies and a misdemeanor, it kind of goes without saying that he's kicked off the team. I wouldn't be surprised if they reported that without confirming it.

Thats why it seems fast.

IF he was arrested 5 hrs ago, did CMR go to the jail and tell him he is no longer on the team...has he even posted bond yet?

Every kid can be saved. It just takes the right approach. A lot of these kids have never had a strong disciplinarian in their lives as they approach college age. My kid brother had little direction as our dad died when he was 14, was getting into the usual teenage trouble, etc. He went into the Navy for one hitch...it was hard for him, but it was the best thing he ever did for himself.
