Really strong on the financial end of things. His hires include Staley for women's basketball which was a homerun. Men's basketball he is 50/50 Horn was a bust but Martin looks to be impressive get. Has totally revamped athletic facilities and football ticket distribution to bring in more money. Very solid hire if he leaves. Haven't heard any rumors though here in Columbia.

Seems like something that would be ultra-important to us when looking for a candidate.

Obviously the only downfall when I think about USC sports is the Mens Basketball but since we already have a new staff in place he wouldn't necessarily need to make a change there any time in the immediate future.

Hyman has a pretty high approval rating here in Columbia. We have had more success under him in all sports than any other AD. The only ones bitching about his increases in fees, seating permits, etc are the ones who were really just cheating the system since they were paying nothing for their front row, fifty yard line football tickets and benefits.

Also, I haven't heard much about Hyman leaving Carolina, but this isn't the first time a rumor about him leaving has come about. I feel like UNC or somebody was trying to hire him last year.

You can't have him.

He's top notch, so is on pretty much everyone's hot list. Kansas State, Tennessee, UNC . . . and apparently now Texas A&M. Doesn't matter though -- if he was leaving USC, he would have gone to his alma mater UNC last year.

Texas A&M has deeper pockets than anyone else who has pursued Hyman. They can throw a lot of money at him that USCe, UNC, or any of those other schools can match. If A&M really, really wants Hyman then they can pay him enough to make it well worth his move.

I believe he has a good amount of family in Texas as well.

Sounds like he would be a great hire for us, if that happens.

The Hymans have a daughter and son-in-law, Corrine and Michael Quast, and a son and daughter-in-law, Ryan and Carolyn Hyman. Corrine is a realtor; Michael is a financial analyst; Ryan is in the property and casualty insurance business; and Carolyn is a lawyer. They all reside in Fort Worth, Texas.
