Redefine it from 1975-2011.

You consider 1950 as part of the "Modern Era"? Wow.

Considering that football started in, what? The 1870's? Yeah, I consider post-WW2 to be the modern era (and 1950 was a convenient cut-off point).

I'm a n00b b/c I would have bet good money that Georgia had a better record than AU head2head.

Interesting. Especially the number of games vs the other big 6 teams. I knew we played them a lot, but was surprised LSU has not. Explains a couple of things.

1987 would be a better year to set the mark IMO, or heck, 1992 if we are talking strictly SEC.

Not knocking Auburn, I just didn't start paying attention to y'all until Terry Bowden was your coach. UGA was one of the first SEC teams I ever knew about, as even in Texas, we got the SEC CBS games on TV each week, and I remember acting like I was Herschel Walker in my backyard when we played football. Amazingly, I was not.

I'm not sure how they worked the schedule pre '92, but when we had two permanent opponents from the East it was UF and Kentucky, so that took away some opportunities. I imagine there were Big 6 schools with two permanent Big 6 schools as their permanents.

If LSU didn't have to play Florida every year they might be part of the Big 4 on this list.

Scholarship limits and the end of single platoon football seem like a better starting point, as well as the elimination of freshman teams, schools being integrated, and a time frame that makes Aggie football look the most favorable(winning record against tu since 1975).

Gotta be a closet Ole Miss fan. Only they include that in the modern era since it's their "glory days".
