Is it just me or do a lot more kids seem to be saying they have an Alabama offer this year? I wonder if we are offering a ton of top players and will just accept the commitment of whatever player that decides first assuming they are a position of need.

High quality, increase odds. We're used to gottfired limp dicking thru recruiting.

This year we have more guaranteed open scholarships to play with. Combine that with another year of lacking in-state talent and you'll get much more offers thrown out. Either way with us already having two post commits, as long as we get a PG, I'll definitely take any of the other guys we have offered.

Im kind of confused to why we would take another big man. I understand that Hale is a different type of big man but dang.

If we bring in 3 big man im willing to bet that one will eventually end up transferring because of PT. Our style of play doesnt play that many big men. I wish we would just take these two and get another next year. To put a year between them.

Hale is a pollard type if anything.

Naw they have totally different games. I think they could play the same position though. Maybe.

Yeah Hale could play the 3 while Taylor could be our 5. Then we can take one more big that could rotate between the 4 and 5 while also taking a PG and SG.

I think it depends how big Hale really is. Is he a legit 6'9?

Does Hale have a good enough handle to be a 3?

He's alright and he likes to be more perimeter oriented. He's a hybrid 3-4. He's got the length to post people up, but it isn't something he wants to do yet.

Yeah I was thinking he was more of a stretch 4. That seems to be where his game is right now. He has the body to be physical in the post though.

I think he will be the perfect guy for us when we go to the smaller lineups.

Hale is a stretch 4 right now. His handles need a little tuning before he can play the 3 well. While taking another big for the 2013 class will give us 6, 7 including Pollard, for 2013-2014 assuming no one transfers we will be losing 2 for sure after that season. I think this is why Damien Jones is getting looked at. He is a quality post player, who isn't concerned with PT. I don't care what position we get with that 4th scholarship. All we really need now is a PG.

Hmm never thought about it that way. If he gets in the engineering program or whatever he wants he surely wont be transferring even if he redshirts. Nice Job.

And having a guy or two transfer really is inevitable. Sign good players and let them fight for the PT that is there.
