Wow! It's still there. I left town in 1997 and used to frequent Rosey Baby quite often.

I still like Little Dooeys BBQ when I come back to Starkville or Columbus. Not the best I've had, but still pretty good bbq.

Crawfish quesadilla ftw.

That place did have the worst service of any restaurant in history.

I would also add De Palma's, Epiphany, and Chucks Fish.

In Auburn there's Amsterdams, Maestro 2300, and Warehouse Bistro. Ariccia in the AUHCC use to be good but I've heard it has been going downhill. It's still the closest place for a good breakfast on gameday.

Is Brand X pizza still around in Auburn? They had a pretty good pizza that my Auburn friends would occassionally order at odd hours. They were more of a delivery place but I'm not sure that place ever closed at night. My friends literally ordered a pizza from there at like 2 AM one night/morning.

The Taco Shop
Phillip's Grocery
B's Barbecue
I guess Handy Andy counts as a hole in the wall, even if it isn't all that "hidden"
There's this new bakery near Big Bad Breakfast that is definitely a hidden gem. I got breakfast there when I was last in Oxford and it was really good and inexpensive. It's your basic breakfast stuff (croissants, coffee, etc.) but it was really tasty.

It's the only place in the world that I have been where I can just simply order a pepporoni pizza and be as content as possible. It comes from many $5, one topping, take out lunches after class. One bite just takes me back to college.

Sadly it has closed. Now I'm going to be craving Brand X all day.

For a good omelette if you're staying in Springdale, Sunset Grill is your stop. Known to locals and old folks but hidden as its in a strip mall.
