Has a team ever gone from last in their division one season to playing

in the SECCG the next season?

Just wondering. I can't recall it ever happening but I'm sure some trivia gurus here would know.

I doubt it. The closest I can recall is Auburn finishing 5th in the West in 09 and then Cam happened.

2007 Alabama might be the closest or 2009 Auburn.

I'm just trying to figure out what kind of history UT will be making this season is all.

Alabama is the answer of course. shite, we went from 1-12 in 1993 to the SECCG the next year.

Alabama finished 5th in the West in 2007 and won the West in 2008.

Arky in 1997 was last and in 1998 was ties with MSU for first...but MSU went to the game.

I think the SEC and National Championship is all locked up by the Vols. The only question is who will they play in the Super Bowl?
