Better ticket? SEC baseball vs basketball tourney

I've never been to either tournament, but Kentucky absolutely dominates the seats at bball touney. It's ridiculous.

Baseball, more people care about it. In basketball only UKY takes it seriously

Got to be baseball. I went to the basketball tournament this past year and the only teams fans that cared about it was Kentucky.

The SEC baseball tourney can be fun and is fun the longer LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Alabama, and Auburn are in it because you usually have really big and boisterous crowds for each of those teams when those teams are still in it late in the tourney. Having said that, I've always loved the SEC basketball tournament. I guess I just grew up going to a lot of tournaments as a kid in the 80s and early 90s when the conference was really strong top to bottom. Not only did Kentucky have its usual great teams, but Alabama, LSU, Arkansas, Tennessee, and later during that time Mississippi State and Florida had some badass athletes and teams year in year out in the tourney. Vandy was also strong and even Auburn was really strong back then. I think basketball is the one major sport in the SEC that has greatly declined in the last 20 or 30 years.

I love baseball but the basketball tournament is a much bigger deal and the fact that people are even seriously debating it is stupid, unless I am high and they are being sarcastic.

Thanks for the input..been to 5-6 basketball tourneys and great time but never been to a baseball tourney..looking like I'll take my Dad (State grad who was fired up at age 79 over the dogs win today) to Hoover next year..cheers

Probably comes down to personal preference. I've been to several basketball tournaments - Atlanta, Nashville, Birmingham, New Orleans. I enjoyed the Nashville tournaments the most, but still like the baseball tournament more.

I'd enjoy baseball more. But then again, who doesn't love 12 hours or so of baseball?

Not really. I've been to both several times. If you like the Kentucky Invitational than you will really enjoy the Basketball Tournament. If you like going to a tournament that is represented by a wider variety of fans from different schools then the baseball tournament is much better.
Plus LSU wins the SEC Baseball Tourny more than any other school, so that in itself, makes the baseball tournament superior.

Basketball and I don't know how it's even close.
Basketball the bubble teams are fighting it out for a bid.
Baseball there's only 3-4 schools that really care and they're locks by this point anyway.

Basketball is more important but personally I prefer the baseball tourney. Never been to either but next time UT qualifies I am gonna try to go...........so I'll be there around 2025

This is laughable. Baseball games may be fun to go to for some, but basketball is at least triple the amount of coverage than baseball.
Not that I wouldn't mind seeing baseball improve in the future, but facts are facts.
