At least according to this guy...
Also, according to this guy, FSU/Clemson to Big12 is practically a done deal and just a matter of timing/politics/legalities now.

Virginia Tech is actively talking with the SEC despite the protestations of Frank Beamer.

So the "Dude of WV" is supposed to be a credible source? Highly doubt that.

If they are the 15th team, who'd be the 16th team?
Am I the only one who thinks this expansion stuff needs to settle the frick down?

I'm okay with this. Probably would be pretty good. I can understand Frank's sentiment though, he doesn't wanna start getting his arse handed do him by the SEC year in and year out.

North Carolina?

NCState/UNC/Virginia/Maryland...probably one of those four teams

Would Clemson ever happen?

Adding Virginia and Virginia Tech would be pretty sweet imo.

Nope...Clemson/GaTech/Louisville have ZERO shot at ever being in the SEC.
Florida State has a tiny, tiny shot (and they'd jump at an SEC offer), but they probably won't be getting an SEC offer anytime soon.
In the next round of SEC expansion, Virginia/North Carolina are the markets Slive will be going after.

They may be "in", but I'll never accept them as true members

The Dude abides. Truth seeker, philosopher, sPitt hater, and Mountaineer fan.
You really take this guy seriously? Do you know how much West Virginia fans hate the ACC and wants them to break apart? I have to see a more credible source to believe this rumor.

North Carolina?
You really think a Basketball school like NC wants to come to the SEC? IMO once some of the better football teams such as Clemson, FSU, and possibly VT leave the ACC they will take some good BBall teams from the big east and be a really good Bball and Academic conference.

I would guess a team from North Carolina or Maryland - since those are big states that make some kind of geographic sense
North Carolina or Duke seems out of the question - they are beholden to each other, to basketball, and to saying they are superior to the SEC
NC State is an obvious possibility but ECU is not impossible... I think NC State makes more sense than Maryland but Maryland makes more sense than ECU

No they arent. Not unless UVA has an invite as well. (or if UVA got a super secret invite to the B1G)

I'd like FSU, I'm thinking a Virginia team and maybe NC probably solely cause of the new tv market and recruiting it'd bring in.
