It will be Bama like it has been for the last 5 years.

Gives Bama props in the OP and you still aren't satisfied.

UGA, LSU, and Bama would like to have a word with those fan. Crow lit you guys up, and he is usually out after 3 plays.

I don't think that the more knowledgeable USC fans will say our D will be best in the SEC - we've lost too many huge contributors and experienced leaders in Ingram, Gilmore, Allen, and Robertson. Our defense may not be as good as it was last season...
But IMO our defense will still be among the better defenses in the SEC, and our offense will be much improved, which will make the difference for us.
I can say that I think our DE tandem will be arguably the best in college football....and our LB depth is incredibly experienced and talented. Our secondary will be a bit thin at CB, but Auguste and Hampton as starters will be solid if not above solid. Holloman will do a solid job at Spur replacing Allen, and Swearinger at SS will among the SEC's best next season. Newcomer sophomore Brison Williams replacing Holloman at FS will be a question mark.
Best in the SEC, I wouldn't say...but we'll be fine on defense....

LSU will have the best D line no doubt. Secondary should hold up but not sure it will be as good as last year. Linebackers will be better than last year. LSU D will be > BAMA D next year

Ellis Johnson says thanks for the credit. Seriously South Carolina was no where near the top until he got there. (sorry cock fans) He only had one slip up year and that was 2010 with Auburn twice on the schedule, which that year wasn't going to help your resume with them twice on the schedule.

Who will UGA have replacing Charles at TE? Will he be as adept at holding, yanking off shoulder pads of LBs and pulling off helmets at the facemask like Charles was last year on running plays, without drawing penalty flags?
If he is, then I guess we can expect it to repeat again this season....

We had some top passing defenses under Nix before Johnson replaced him....we were 1st, 1st, and 2nd in the SEC in passing defense in '07, '08, and '09. The last 2 years were under Ellis. Then we fell off in 2010, I feel due to our very thin depth at LB that season, and miscommunications between our CBs and safeties in trying to compensate for the hole at LB. We were 2nd in the SEC and nation in passing D last season (behind only Bama)....
