Nope. No bad places in Fayettville. I would try to find something close to Dickson Street or Razorback Road.

Not really. But in the event that it's really cold (and the weather might be great)...but in case it's not, be prepared to deal with it because it's not just the cold, it can be a windy type of cold or a wet type of cold that can chill your arse to the bone and make it a really miserable experience if you're not dressed for it. One other thing...if there is ice on the roads, be prepared to stay for a while because whether or not you have chains or studded tires, there will be idiots on the road who don't. They will screw up your day.

Other than the final score, we want it to be a pleasant experience for y'all.

Nice.

There are no places to avoid, crime is retarded low around here. It's smart to book a room now because they will sell out soon, and Dickson is a small area.

I recommend getting a room on 6th St./MLK because that's the road that runs by campus. It's only a few minutes to the stadium from the intersection of I-540 and 6th. There are several hotels there.

Some people are going to tell you to stay at the Inn at Carnal Hall, but that is actually on campus so it's stupid expensive and also highly inaccessible.

Here is a link to the hotels on 6th St/MLK.

Weddington Road @ 540 area has several new chain hotels. We reserved 4 rooms at the Homewood Suites (Hilton family) as soon as they announced the game was moved to Fayetteville. If you wait too long you may be stuck in Rogers or Bentonville and its a long drive back to the campus and stadium.

Hope yall have a safe trip up and enjoy your time in NWA.

The whole area is nice. You can stay in Fayetteville or even Rogers/Bentonville. If you like the nightlife you might stay in Fayetteville, but I'm not sure how busy Dickson will be on Thanksgiving night or that Friday night. I'd say get here early enough or stay long enough to visit Crystal Bridges in Bentonville.

WMR and some others can come up with a good list of things to do, whether you are with your family or coming up with some buddies. Just depends on what your goals are.

Thank you broke but the reason I started this thread was because the date was announced, I will pick you up if you pay for the gas and hotel

Not really a dangerous area in the metro. There are dirty areas, but nothing crime-ridden.

Our MLK was named 6th Street until a couple of years ago. Its still not the ghetto.
