A battle of in state schools battle tonight at Trustmark Park.
State sends freshman righty Brandon Woodruff from Wheeler, MS to the mound while the Golden Eagles send Pass Christian, MS sophomore Boomer Scarborough tone mound.

If there is one team on this earth I hate, it's Southern Miss. I dislike State but they are good people. I HATE, repeat HAAAAAAAAATE USM. Their fans irritate the hell out of me with the whole "We could compete in the SEC/We'd do better than Ole Miss and State" when normally they struggle to get 7 wins in C-USA. Whenever they play a good OOC team they get demolished but they still insist that they could be successful in the SEC.

Its reasons like this why I'm glad SC only has 2 D1 schools. Bad enough dealing with 1 big, legit, rival. Incredibly annoying I imagine to deal with a smaller "annoying mosquito" type teams. I've mentioned this before but I was surprised at how many USM fans thought that they were going to knock us off in 2010.

Im from South Mississippi, got my masters from Southern Miss, have family who went to Southern Miss, and I live in Hattiesburg so I have no ill will towards my eagle brethren.
