I was recently re-watching the Special on Roll Tide/War Eagle and it made me start to think that the hate from AU to UA was greater than the hate from UA to AU...It seems that Bama is starting to hate LSU more, but i wouldn't know. Am I right here or is it just something im picking up? (some bama input would be great)
It kinda reminds me of the hate between State and TSUN. I know that State hates TSUN more than anything, but I don't see much hate towards State from them.

I hated Tennessee the most growing up, but it's hard to hate your bottom bitch.

You pretty much nailed it. What you have to realize about Auburn is that their football program revolves around what Alabama does. Auburn has always been focused on beating Alabama while Alabama has always been focused on winning NC's.
auburn will always be this pathetic little program across the state that spends their every waking moment trying to climb from behind the shadow of big brother.
As for LSU, we don't hate LSU but we have a lot of respect for them. We want to beat them but that is not hating them. LSU is a much more respectable program and competitor for us now than Auburn has ever been with respect to challenging us for the NC.
LSU is not trying to beat BAMA they are trying to beat everyone and that is the difference between them and the Barn.

This right here is your first problem. That was one of the worst documentaries I have even watched. It did nothing to tell the story of UA vs. AU. That plus the fact that they had some horrible interviews and try to fit it in one hour just made me want to

The intensity of hatred from one fanbase to another generally has to do with who has had the most recent success. The hatred towards AU was greater from the UA side when they won 6 in a row, and recently I feel more hate from the Plainsmen.

You and several wishful LSU fans, but that's it.

Except both are relevant and the only reason some feel there is a rivalry is the games are so big nowadays. That and a certain coach on the Bama sideline....

They usually care more about LSU. It used to be mutual. If they would move the game back to Halloween that might start up again.
Nothing would piss me off more than having to watch football when I could be trick or treating

This. Anyone that has followed this rivalry for more than 4 years knows this. So, naturally, it would seem that AU hates UA more, due to UA having more success over the life of the rivalry, and more success as of late, however, it is a continuously swinging pendulum

Exactly. Although beating bama gives most that warm satisfied feeling afterwards. which is in respect to bama and their prominence.

You may mistake Ole Miss's apathy towards us as a lack of hate. But trust me, there is no one OM would sooner lose to than us. They have just done it so much that they are becoming numb to it. They compete for us with recruits, they share the Our State with us. They feel like if they stay calm about it and make it appear that it doesn't bother them, then it diminishes the meaning of us owning them. The big money boosters at OM goes crazy when we beat them.
