Peter Principle at work here. Wanny's failed everywhere he's been as a head coach but he keeps getting HC gigs because he was a very good assistant under Jimmy Johnson for a number of years.

Wannstedt may own a Florida home but he is a Pittsburgh native. I am 99% sure that after football he stayed in the area.

Besides, Long and The Stache didn't leave on good terms at Pitt.
There is a below zero chance of Wannstedt getting hired. The BOT would deny that quicker than people could break a BCS National Title trophy.
