No home SEC games for Mizzou in the month of November (3 on the road)

You think the SEC planned it this way for a reason?

Could it be the weather?

I don't know much about Missouri weather, but I bet it can get pretty cold at times in November.

Anyway, just seems odd the way the away games are back loaded.

If you are right, it makes sense for Syracuse! It will be a summer vacation for them in late november!

I didn't notice that. It's either Bama or UK.

Here is where I got their schedule.

Everybody backed out of coming to Columbia in November so our home games are now front loaded.

They may play in a dome, but their fans do not live in the dome.

Kentucky for homecoming. But we used to schedule Oklahoma or Nebraska for homecoming sometimes, we ain't scared.

And in response to the OP: I am sure weather at least had something to do with this scheduling. By November, Columbia is usually pretty cold and has had some snow.

Nah they will go at least 6-6 I'm not sure they are good enough to schedule UK as a homecoming game though ! Like I posted in another thread it will be interesting in the next few years to see what kind of cup cake teams they schedule in their out of conference games.

I think SEC folks are more worried about the weather than they need to be. I don't remember the last time Columbia had snow before Thanksgiving. It can happen, but usually doesn't. It would be far more likely the game would be played in a cold rain.

And no, we don't play in a dome. Trust me - I've sat outside in the pouring rain more than once!

Wow, 7 of the first 8 games are in Columbia albeit one is in South Carolina instead of Missouri.

We have a stretch of I think 4 away games in a row. Could be a "new guy" thing.

If a northerner is calling it "pretty cold" just think how cold it is to a southerner

I think it's just something you will have when you schedule for 14 teams.

A - Missouri is not northern. B - it's extremely rare for it to snow or be below freezing during the days in Missouri in November. Our bad weather tends to come in December, January and February. For November, average high is 51, average low is 35.
