Lance ? @TheBUNKY_1974 · Open @cbahn @danielmcfadin @ASUHeraldSports Perhaps he can clarify if Malzahn's contract has been signed and not just agreed upon. Just curious,

Chris Bahn ? @cbahn Close @TheBUNKY_1974 It hasn't been signed. That's not unusual. Petrino agreed to terms of a new deal in 2010. Didn't sign until 3+ months later

There was chitter chatter a couple of months ago that they were having a tough time coming up with donations to cover the rest of Malzahn's salary agreement. The University could only do so much, and the rest was supposed to come from donations.

Good news for U of A?

That would be a nightmare! frick Malzahn, he can stay A-State his entire career. He's a glorified OC, period.

looks like bad news since it increases your chances of getting him.

does Arkansas really want Malzahn's offense with the personnel they have right now on offense? Wilson isn't exactly the fleetest of foot. I'd rather have him back there slinging it and handing it to Knile if I were them...

Vast majority don't want him right now. He's never been a HC and his last season at Auburn didn't impress anyone.

No thanks. Let's see if he can prove himself as a head coach at AState.

So it should be just like old times with Bobby.

He's perfectly capable of coaching a pocket passing offense. He led the country in offense at Tulsa with a pocket passer.

no chance he goes to arkansas, plus i am sure more prestigious programs have him ear marked even if he ever does leave a Big 12 TCU

Not likely to happen but if it did I would pull my support from the U of A and find another team to support and keep in mind that in spite of being born and raised in Oklahoma, I'm a lifetime Hog Fan and a Graduate of the University of Arkansas. There are two very real concerns with Gus and I personally don't like his Mickey Mouse Offense. Those concerns are:

1. Cam Newton
• Most non-Auburn fans believe Cam was illegally recruited, including me. If you agree with that premise that one must ask how is it possible that Cam’s Offensive Coordinator and Quarterback coach knew nothing about it? Either Gus knew what was going on or he just turned a blind eye to it. Either way, that makes him complicit in the illegal recruiting of Cam Newton.

2. Pinnacle Preps and Walt Williams
• Gus’ association with a handler like Walt Williams raises a red flag. No way in hell should a coach EVER associate themselves with a handler and you certainly don’t do photo ops with them in a locker room with players on official recruiting visits.

Petrino has given the Hogs the template to a top ten football program and we need to stick with it, not revert to some Mickey Mouse solution.
