Guilt phase was weeks ago. This is sentencing.

He'll do 4 and the rest on paper, I bet.

Probably. Assuming he stays out of trouble in the pen.

With his heavy gang affilitations with 30 deep, the Miami Mafia, T.I, Bishop Eddie Long, and the bloods, I am sure he will fit right in in prison

Goodwin's attorney files oral notice of appeal and asks for probation. Judge to schedule probation hearing at a later date.
15 years seems reasonable to me, but I think he should serve a lot less, get out on probation with the full sentence a possibiity.

I'm not much of a betting man, but I would feel pretty confident putting some money down on him not getting community corrections/probation.

I agree with NBamaAlum...think he'll get 5, with good behavior and probation.

Will the others just go ahead and take a plea deal that mirrors this or will they go forward with a trial... Goodwin had the gun, so his sentence should be higher.

Nah...I'll leave it over there. It's not hard to miss though if you want to take a look.

Screw em', is always my first thought in these cases. When it comes down to the all of the loss involved and the perpetuating cycles it's all very sad. This guy had at the very least a free college education available to him with the opportunity for much more. All of it gone, and for what?
How is Mack doing? Will Holland be a starter this year?

quote:Sentencing often depends nearly as much on criminal record as it does the crime committed. Assuming a pretty clean record by the other three, I think they will feel confident this is the max they will get. Thus, I wouldn't recommend a plea to the same sentence. Also, there will be different evidence and different roles that each played in the crime that might be considered both in the guilt phase and sentencing phase that would be unique to each defendant.
