Might see some plea deals made now.

Agree

Is a BB gun a "firearm"? Does that give DA some discretion regarding charging the enhancement?

DA always wants to try best case first. Why would Goodwin confess and then enter not guilty plea, just didn't realize how much time he was looking at?

That isn't exactly true. Judge could go harsher if he decides. Probably won't though.

If the vic thought it was real, it "was real".

What a waste of a life ...how could the upside of this big trailer robbery have ever seemed worth the risk given the down side that they currently face?

It's well known in most circles that trailer parks are not the source of untold riches...so..trading 1/2 of your best years for something in some trailer park??

Message sent to Updyke, Lee county DA thinks penalty for tree poisoning will be harsher than armed robbery.

He could still get a 20 split 3 or 20 split 5, right?

If the DA offered my client that in one of these cases and he was holding a gun at anytime during the incident, I would recommend taking the deal.

Drugs will do crazy things to the mind. I've watched a few pretty good guys ruin their life because of it.

Question for the Bama posters on here. Whatever happened with Jeremy Elder? I see where he was charged with two counts of 1st degree robbery, but never saw an outcome to the trial.

Do some of y'all actually still believe this? I know this has been a popular stance on bamamag, but with the outcome today, can you admit that you all were dead wrong?

I have to head out. Hold it down in here. I'll be on my phone with a road beverage (passenger open container ftw) headed south, so reply time will lag. Ya'll be good.
