Mizzou really thinks they are just going to walk in, and dominate. I mean if I were them I would try to make myself believe the same thing, but some of the quotes in the article are ridiculous.

quote:

"Offensively, they have to cater to us because whatever we do they have to try and defend us," Moe said. "They can't put eight in the box when we're spreading it five wide. You just can't do that.
quote:

“I don’t agree with that,” Ebner said about the SEC being a faster conference. “We play against fast guys. The Big 12 is not a bad conference. They’ve got a lot of skill guys, especially [with] all those spread offenses. Those guys can fly.”

the first time their quarterback and wideouts start getting really popped, they'll know what the difference is.

What do you want them to say?
"We're going to get our shite pushed in?"
I don't think it's time to relegate themselves to Ole Miss levels just yet.

To ensure the entire team is suspended when you play them in Atlanta as opposed to just half the team that would've been suspended anyway?

Breakaway if you read what I typed you would see that I would expect them to say the same things, but I mean it's like they have no respect for the SEC. They always make little comments about how the SEC isn't that much better than the Big 12, well then why did you leave the conference and why are you finally getting the big time recruits from St. Louis and Kansas City? Because you are in a REAL conference now, I am just saying have some more respect for what conference accepted you.

I didn't read the article, but I'm assuming you cherry picked the best quotes for your statement. I don't see anywhere in those statements where they said they were going to dominate. Beyond that, what do you expect a player to say? We're going to be completely overmatched and why even play the game?

You're too sensitive. Seems to me like they are just responding to all the people telling them how outmatched they're going to be in the SEC. I'd rather deal with some overconfidence than a lack of it.

I must have read a different article. Where did it say they would dominate? I thought they said they would not change their offense or defense just because they were playing SEC teams. I would agree with that.

He thinks they mean skill player are fast. He will see when they get raped by SEC Dlines next season. Too bad Missouri plays in the East, so they will take less of a beating.

This is what I read. I don't see the sleights the OP is insinuating were all over that article. A little overconfident? Maybe.
