It's funny that other sports have had their own dedicated weight rooms before football..
The old weight room looks like it will undoubtably have to be demolished when they expand Kyle Field.

When the current weight room was built in the early 80s for Jackie Sherrill, it was state of the art at the time. It had to be named as a performance lab for the Kinesiology Dept. because that was the only way to get funding and construction approved at the time. The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board which tells you wtf you can do on campus used to work in mysterious ways.
Things are different now. The politics are out of it and with the shite tons of money rolling into the athletic department, the big cigars are now telling the coordinating board wtf to do.
Expect lots of new neatshat to be built.

I stayed in East Stadium - 2 minutes from the ChemE building, 1 minute from Hatcher Cafeteria and 30 seconds from the laundromat. Life was great.
