Arky fans, John Pelphrey a candidate for the Southern Miss job

Seems as if it would be a good fit for him having coached in Florida, Alabama (USA), and Arkansas. He sould have good recruiting contacts in the southeast. Plus he will inherit a good team that Larry Eustachy is leaving.

Former Arkansas and South Alabama coach John Pelphrey, who is now an assistant at Florida, and Middle Tennessee State coach Kermit Davis could also make attractive targets for USM.

If Larry Eustachy can turn around his career in Hattiesburg, then why not John Pelphrey???

Pelphrey is a former SEC player, SEC head coach, and Current SEC Assistant. I think this is worthy of being on the SEC RANT.

Southern Miss seems as if it would be a good fit for him. Hattiesburg is only 90 miles from Mobile, AL where he was HC at South Alabama so there should be plenty of contacts in that area.

I don't understand his departure to Colorado State. Pretty much a lateral move if you ask me

Son of a bitch. We are a freaking launching pad for coaches. We can't keep one more than a couple of years. Just replaced Norm with some assistant from Manhattan.

Frick, frick, frick...

I hold no ill will towards Pel...seemed like a good person, and I'd like to see him succeed somewhere.

Gin-ger [jin-jer]

- Noun
A rare natural hair color found in 1 to 2 percent of the world’s population. Individuals with this recessive trait are believed to be more sexual, highly artistic, and possess a greater tolerance for pain than average. The sun is their only enemy. Descendants of Vikings, the Romans were said to have sought out red haired males as soldiers for their military since they were believed to be fierce warriors. Rome also gave up on taking Ireland due to the massive ginger population.

Yeah. I wish him success. Arkansas fans really have no bad feelings towards him and he seemed to be a good guy, just not ready for a big hc gig.

Wow, didn't look into the specifics of the deal. Hell of an upgrade then. I didn't know Colo St. could/would dish out that type of money. Good for Eustachy, he's a great coach.
