Both QBs were impressive. I know Elam was out for the defense. Still..you have to be impressed with the progress they made from last year.

Who is the favorite right now in your opinion?

Brissett. Has better command of the huddle and IMO is the better pure QB.

Understandable. Correct me if Im wrong, but isnt the other kid a better runner? Its hard to see the running skills in a spring game. Maybe his running skills will separate him if he gets a chance.

Good question. Flip of the coin. Driskel has more talent but Brissett has the poise. I bet it won't be settled until mid season because the loser will probably transfer.

Driskel is the supposed "runner" but what I like most about him is the way the ball explodes out of his hand. If he can get control of that and learn the decision making that needs to go with it, he'll be a monster. If not, Brissett looked pretty good too. I just think Driskel has a higher potential skill cap than Brissett, if he can get to it.

I really wanted Brissett at LSU. He will be a good one.

Everyone will say Driskel is more "talented", but I disagree. As a pure QB, Brissett is more "talented".

Brissett. He's got all the physical tools.

Edit: I'm much more concerned about our backfield than the qb position.

That's one of the things that was pretty impressive with JB last year. Sure, he may have been raw but I definitely liked his poise for a TF.

Not a UF fan, but Simple Jeff Driskell has no chance in hell. He has all the arm talent in the world, but no talent in the head. The white JaMarcus Russell.

It will probably be brissett. His physical tools aren't quite as good as driskel's but he has better pocket presence and seems to have it together mentally. Driskel just seems lost at times.

I'm not sure it's a brain thing for Jeff D. I've heard he likes to party and loves the women. So much so, he can't find the film room.

Auburn fans are supposed to be all about offense and everything offensive. How can you be so clueless about an SEC football player's success.

I bet Florida fans and smart Auburn fans wish one of their current QB's finishes his career with 6625 yards passing 52 TD's. They'd be happy with one year of 3129 yards passing and 28 TD's too.

I'd be happy with a J Russell from his college days.

Im not clueless Corky. I was actually talking about Russell for the Raiders. Sorry I was not specific enough for you.

Loved JB's touch on the deep pass and as others have stated, his poise in the pocket. Hopefully our o-line gives him some time to remain cool/calm in the pocket. The weapons on offense are there....

I really like the look and demeanor Brissett has back in the pocket. He just looks the part, but he definitely puts more air under the ball on his passes than I would like, but at the college level he can probably get away with it and still be a great player.

But the upside of Driskel is incredible if the game can slow down for him.

Tough choice, but nice problem to have.
